Episode One-hundred-fifteen: Here

I woke up to very gentle kisses on my forehead. They were lovely and soft. Jasper’s mustache tickled my skin, making me giggle softly. Without opening my eyes, I pulled him towards me for one on the lips. It was long and lingering, his mouth perfect against mine. His steady hand went to the small of my back and brought me closer to him.

“I forgot how good your kisses are,” I whispered against his mouth after a few splendid minutes. “I don’t know how I could. You are the best kisser,” I informed him as my fingers stroked his cheek, my eyes still closed.

Jasper pulled me so that I was on top of him, rolling flat onto his back with his hands on my hips. I snuggled into him, my head tucked under his chin. We laid there like that, just relaxing, for a long time. I was comfortable and felt so warm and safe like I was being wrapped in the perfect security blanket. His hand trailed up my spine as I pressed my nose into his chest, breathing him in deeply.

“I’m going to wake up every morning next to the two people that I care about most in the world,” he said in wonder into my hair. “My girlfriend wants to be with me so much that she flew me first class around the world.” I laughed a little, just snuggling deeper as I nodded my head. “Wow, wow, wow.” He rocked us a bit.

“And your boyfriend and girlfriend are going to work very hard to make sure that you’re happy and feel loved every single day. Edward will give you plenty of work to do, and you can help me, and we’ll keep you busy. And we’ll make you forget all about that place,” I swore solemnly. His heart thumped like a drum against my cheek, fast and in a rhythm.

Jasper drew in a deep, ragged breath. “It sounds like a dream.”

“It does,” I agreed, finally lifting to look at him in the face again. His eyes were glassy and almost too blue, looking up at me with such wonder. I leaned forward to kiss his lips again. “Mm, we should probably start getting ready for Eddie to get home.”

He nodded before just kissing me again. We couldn’t stop, and I didn’t mind one single bit. I giggled against his mouth. After maybe fifteen minutes, he finally pulled away to peck lightly at my cheeks. “Your hair is crazy right now,” he mentioned in my ear, making me laugh louder.

“I’m not surprised since I went to bed with wet hair,” I murmured as I lifted off of him and rolled to the side. “I’ll straighten it and go put some makeup on for Tony just to mess up. Do you want to pick out what I’ll wear tonight?”

Jasper smiled. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

“Honestly, you should see my underwear collection now. I’ve never owned so much slutty lingerie in my life,” I confessed as I pulled open both top drawers that were mine before going to the bathroom to plug in my straightener. Yawning, I stretched my arms over my head as I popped my back. He was almost nervously walking to it, slowly peeking in before smirking a little to myself. I pushed my lips together to keep from laughing.

Lifting something from it with his fingers carefully, he held it up in front of his face. It was a black, lace and mesh, teddy with red roses sewn into the sides. His mouth made a little o, his eyes meeting mine. “This is definitely a dream,” he confirmed with a firm nod of his head.

“If this feels like a fantasy, just wait until tonight,” I teased as walked over to him so that I could I take it from his grip. “Now, go get a dress for me.”

I straightened my curls and did simple makeup. Like I joked with Jasper, I knew that Edward was going to ruin it. It didn’t take that long to do my hair with the expensive straightener. Just as I was making the last pass, Jasper brought me a pretty little silky blue dress.

“So, we’re distracting him with skin?” I asked in a laugh as I took it from him.

“How are we going to surprise him, hm? Shall I just be sitting on the couch and see how long before he notices?”

Giggling, I shook my head. “He would right away. You should hide in the shadows and literally pop upon him.” Jasper laughed as well. “You can go to the guest room. You really can’t see down the hall with all the lights off, especially in the kitchen. Just wait until his back is turned, and I guess that I’ll distract him with my tits.” I looked down at my chest.

Snorting, he shook his head. “Okay, sounds fun. I’m going to get dressed.”

When I was done, I went around the house to light candles. They were leftovers from the night the electricity went out way back in October. We hadn’t needed them for anything else. I carefully scattered them everywhere, making the house romantically glow. Next, I got out the cheese plate and a couple of bottles of wine along with three stemless glasses.

My heart jumped into my throat when Edward’s ringtone began to play. Jasper stopped beside the island, his eyes huge. As I reached for his hand, I answered. “Hi, honey!” I said it a bit too high, my voice cracking before I coughed.

“Hello there,” he chuckled. “You okay?”

“Yeah. Just something in my throat,” I roughly cleared it. “How are you?”

He hummed. “Not terrible. Tired. Just ready to be home and in your arms. Have you spoken with Jasper any, perchance?”

“Mmhmm,” I hummed. “I’ve talked to him a lot, actually. I think that he’s already feeling a lot better. Nothing a little sleep can’t fix.”

“Oh! Oh, good!” He sounded instantly relieved. “Hopefully, I can talk to him tonight. I’ve been missing you both terribly today.”

I bit my lip. When I looked up at Jasper, he had tears in his eyes and was smiling. “I know that he wants to talk to you.”

“I still want to send him something,” he asserted a bit more cheerfully. “I’ll talk to him first before we try to pick something out, though. I don’t know what would help right now.”

“Mm, probably just lots of cuddles and kisses.” Our boyfriend nodded with a big happy grin.

Edward sighed heavily. “I wish I could give that to him.”

“You will,” I assured him. “Very soon. I promise.”

“Yeah,” he took in a deep breath before continuing. “Keep working on him for me.”

“One, I was planning on it and two, that’s definitely what she said,” I replied sarcastically. Jasper covered his mouth with his other hand, looking away from me. Edward barked a surprised laughed.

“Oh, god,” he kind of tiredly giggled. “Do you need anything before I get home, or do I need to pick up some dinner?”

“Nope. I’ve got a surprise waiting for you, remember?”

He chuckled. “Mm, right. I’ve been curious all day. I’m excited to see what you have in store for me, but I think that I have a good idea of what it is.”

“Oh?” I questioned as I walked with Jasper to the guest bedroom. With the lights left turned off, we stood in the doorway. Just as we did, it began to lightly rain outside. The droplets clinked pleasantly against the windows.

“I think that it’s going to involve a good smoke, a better wine, a delicious meal, and probably one of the best desserts that I’ve ever eaten beside my gorgeous pre-fiance,” he answered smoothly.

I couldn’t help but giggle at his oozing charm. “You know what? I certainly hope so, but we’ll see. I know some of that is right.”

He chuckled again in return. “I’m almost home. I’ll see you in a moment.”

“Showtime,” I smirked at Jasper once we hung up. He quickly kissed me on the cheek. Leaning into it, I closed my eyes. “I am so excited. Let’s hope that I’m a good actress.”

“You are.” He swatted my ass as I left.

I went into the living room, going back to the kitchen to open one of the bottles of wine that was waiting for us. I wanted something white. Just as I got the cork free, Edward walked into the foyer.

“Oh! Mood lighting? That’s a good sign,” he teased as he walked towards the kitchen. Edward threw off his hoodie and put it on the couch. “Wow, this reminds me of some of my fantasies that I was having the night of the storm…” he trailed off when he finally took in my appearance. “If this is my surprise, yay!” I laughed, blushing as I looked away from him. “I don’t know why you’re dressed up like an angel, but I am here for it.”

He pulled me into his arms as I shook my head. I made sure his back was to the hall as I put my arms around his waist. “I’m not your surprise. I’m just the pretty distraction to keep you from figuring it out too quickly,” I quipped, resting my chin on his chest. “What do you think it is?”

“Mm,” he laughed, looking around the island. “Let’s see. I see the wine, so I was right about that. And are we having cheese for dinner?” He questioned. I only nodded. “Yum… Oh, macaroons. Those are beautiful, love,” he instantly complimented me.

“Thank you. They’re lemon blueberry and strawberry crème. I told Jasper that I would make him some when he came,” I cooed. I saw as the words began to filter into his brain and what his surprise might have been. There was definitely some mental math going on in his head behind his pretty emerald eyes.

“Did you make a practice batch for him?” He excitedly inquired.

I slowly shook my head, making my boyfriend’s face drop just a little. He had been so hopeful that he was right. Jasper was just creeping behind him. “Nope.” I smiled as his hands smoothed over Edward’s back.

Whirling around, he instantly began to kiss our boyfriend furiously. His hands grabbed him up in his arms so that he actually picked him up. Jasper’s wrapped around his neck, holding on for dear life. He was not a small or short man, but Edward lifted him a foot off the ground. They were both crying.

“You’re here!” He wept loudly when he finally put him down to his feet again. His arms wrapped around his shoulders, his big face going to his neck. “Oh, god. You’re here. I’ve missed you so much.”

Jasper closed his eyes, leaning his head against his lover’s. His hand smoothed slowly up his back. “I’ve missed you too, darling.”

Both of Edward’s hands clutched at his shirt desperately. “I… I need you. I need you here. With me. With us. I need you. I miss you so much,” he almost incoherently sobbed into his neck. “I miss being with you every day. I miss coming home to you. I want to come home to you and Bella every night.”

Wrapping his strong arms around his waist, he squeezed tightly. His smile was glorious. “I’m here now. I’m not going anywhere. I’m here now,” he repeated in a chant, trying to soothe our emotional boyfriend.

“Really?” He pulled back in surprise. “It’s not just a visit?” Jasper shook his head in response, and Edward laughed loudly in relief before hugging him again. Once more, he lifted him off the floor for a moment. “Thank you!”

“Why are you thanking me? Idiot,” he laughed, rocking him a little as he scratched his nails up and down his back. He smiled at me. All I could do was stand back and watch them. It made my heart so happy, I felt as if I was going to burst.

Edward suddenly pulled back and took Jasper by the shoulders, looking deeply into his eyes. “I love you!” He all but shouted the words in his face.

“I love you, too,” he immediately replied, bringing his hand up to his cheek.

“No! I know that I’ve said it before, as your friend, but I am in love with you. I love you so much.” When Edward realized what he said, he nervously turned to look at me as he still cried some. “I’m sorry. I realize that we should have talked about it before-”

Jasper finally pulled me into the embrace so that I was pressed against his side. I kissed Edward to shut him up, my other boyfriend’s hand on my waist. He turned me so that I was squeezed between them, their arms around me as they embraced each other.

When I pulled away, he began to ramble nervously. “I love you. I need you both. I’m sorry that I’m selfish and-”

“We want this, too,” our boyfriend promised. “Darling, we want you. And we love you, too.” We both kissed his cheeks at the same time, and I could feel Edward’s tears hot and wet against my lips as they came faster. He kept turning his head from one side then the other to give us kisses in return.

“Do you really?” He asked in a tiny whisper.

“Yes,” I swore with a smile against his cheek.

Episode One-Hundred-Fourteen: A Good Day

I was awake, lying beside Edward as his alarm began to sing to us. The sun wasn’t up yet, not even the faintest hint of light shone behind the mountains. He was good and asleep still, his eyes moving behind his eyelids slowly as he continued to dream. Gently, I began to stroke his hair soothingly so as not to frighten him.

“Eddie, it’s time to get up. You have to pretend to be a vampire again,” I purred in his ear softly.

“Meh. Nah,” he replied, tightening his arm around my waist to squeeze my ass with his hand.

I giggled softly, kissing his temple. “Afraid so, handsome.”

“Wanna come with me again?” He asked as his fingers tightened around my thigh. Edward hadn’t even opened his eyes yet or turned off his alarm. He tilted his head to the side so that his nose was close to mine.

I hid my face in his shoulder, so he couldn’t see me lying. I didn’t like doing it for any reason, and I had done it so little. It probably showed in my eyes. “I can’t. Channel stuff.”

“Blow it off and come hang out with Sarah,” he mumbled, kissing the top of my head. “She loves spending time with you.”

“I can’t.”

“Why not? I thought that you were just practicing something.” His fingers curled around the bottom of my nightgown, pulling it up just a little.

I paused for a second, trying to think of a good excuse. “I want everything to be perfect for when I cook with her. If I screw up around you or the boys, no one cares, but I don’t want to waste her time. She is my first guest, and I want it to be flawless when she comes next week.”

Edward finally opened his eyes. “I can understand that.” He playfully pouted for a moment. “Are you okay?”

“Oh, yeah. I’m just awake for some reason. Would you like me to make you a nice breakfast to take with you?” I offered, stroking his hair to distract him.

He smiled, nodding before pulling me into a soft and slow kiss. I returned it gently, putting my forehead on his. “I’d love that. Thank you.”

I reached over and turned off his phone finally. “Okay. Go get a shower, and I’ll make you breakfast, Archie.”

Chuckling, he stretched his arms above his head. “Fine, if I must,” Edward replied, dropping his accent for just a moment.

I baked some of the bagels from the freezer, making bacon, ham, and sausage while they did. When they got out of the oven, I cut them in half and toasted them. I was just closing the Tupperware when he came hurrying out of our bedroom. Edward tilted his head back, humming.

“What is it? It smells so good.” He sniffed deeply. “More bagels? Mm, something meaty, too.”

“Ham, cheddar, and egg. A sausage, Swiss and egg, and bacon, jalapeño jack, and egg bagel sandwiches. All cut in quarters so you can share. They’re huge. And fried cinnamon apples.”

He kind of wickedly chuckled, hugging it to his chest. “Okay, this might be all mine. Thank you,” Edward grinned before he kissed me on the cheek. “This is awesome. I love you. Have a good day. If you get bored, come to the set.”

“Share, okay,” I laughed, kissing him in return. Taking his face in my hands, I pecked his forehead. “I love you with all my heart, and I want you to know that today is going to be a wonderful day. I promise.”

“Of course, it will be. I get to come home to you,” he said in a soft sigh. “I look forward to eating whatever you’re practicing,” Edward said as he walked towards the door, making me giggle. With my lip in my teeth, I watched him go.

Hurriedly, I went to the grocery store for all the supplies that I would need for the day. I had to wait for the baking store to open, but I was there right as the doors unlocked. As soon as I got home, I started making macaroons in a couple of different flavors. Lemon with blueberry filling and strawberry with vanilla cream.

I figured dinner would probably not be Edward’s top priority that night, so I set up a fancy cheese plate that we could just pull out of the fridge when we were ready. There was also sliced bread and some crackers. I also made sure that there was plenty of champagne, beer, and wine to satisfy any of their drinking needs. It was going to be a celebration, no matter what.

It was just after eleven when I finished cleaning everything up. The macaroons were ready to go and under a pretty glass-domed plate. I even took pictures of them because they turned out so cute. I would be making them for the channel as well.

Just a few minutes before noon, Jasper messaged, “I’ve landed! Still on the plane. I’ll text when I’m in the Uber. See you soon, dove!”

I was pacing nervously around the house when I heard the car pull up. Rushing to the door, I threw it open just as he got out of his taxi. I ran barefoot down the path into his waiting arms. I literally leaped into them, and Jasper caught me, lifting me in the air to spin me around. Mine wrapped tightly around his neck, pushing my face into his hair.

“Oh, god. I’m here. I’m here,” he mumbled. The driver was hurrying to get the luggage out so that he could leave. “Oh, sorry, mate. Here, let me.” Without putting me down, he turned around to help. I laughed, holding on tighter. He was more than strong enough to carry me with one arm and pull his other big suitcase out. There were only two of them and his backpack.

I pulled an extra twenty from my pocket and gave it to the older gentleman. “Thank you. Have a good day!” I called to him brightly.

The taxi driver smiled at the cash, actually surprised. I was sure Jasper had tipped him as well, but it was a good day. “Thanks. You too.”

He finally put me down to my feet. I took his other suitcase and his hand and led him inside. Slowly, I turned to look at him. He was peering around in total awe.

“Welcome home.”

Once again, I was in his arms, being lifted into the air. This time he was kissing me, his lips on mine in a second. My legs wrapped around him tightly as my forearms snaked around his neck. I’m not sure that I had ever experienced a kiss so powerful before. One of his hands wrapped around my hair while the other held my ass so that I wouldn’t drop to the floor.

“Holy shit,” he laughed against my mouth. “Thank you. Thank you for this. This is-”

“Shh…” I kissed him again.

We made out there in the middle of that foyer for a long time until finally, I laid my head on his shoulder and just breathing him in.

“Wow, look at this place. Video doesn’t really do it justice, does it?”

“No, it doesn’t. Here. I’ll take you on a tour,” I said as I finally hopped down from his grip. “We’ll be spending a lot of time out here,” I pointed out to the backyard, walking to the island in the middle of the kitchen. Wordlessly, I lifted the glass dome to offer him one of the desserts that I had baked just for him.

“Did you make these?” Jasper asked with a smirk.

I giggled softly. “What do you think?” I questioned. Picking one up, I brought it up to his lips. “I did just for you. These are lemon blueberry. Fresh, finished just a little while ago. They’ll be even better tomorrow.”

Jasper brought his hand around my wrist and guided my fingers to his mouth. Humming loudly, his eyes sank shut as his head leaned back. “Damn, that is good.” He took it from my grip and offered it to me. I giggled again, leaning forward to take it. “That’s better than the sesame ones from the fancy place.”

“You think so?”

“Mm, yeah. I adore lemons, though.”

“Good to know,” I grinned. “Come on. Let’s finish the tour.”

Taking his hand, I led him first to the guest bedroom. “So, this is where your clothes will probably stay,” I teased. “The other closets are already full.” I just walked past the gym, pushing it open as I did before stopping at the office. I opened the door and showed him inside. “It’s pretty crammed full, as you can see. So, maybe we’ll turn that other room into your office so you can have your own workspace,” I thought out loud. “Are you a workaholic like him?”

“Mm…” he made a face then shrugged.

“So, that’s a yes,” I giggled, dragging him towards the bedroom. “You’re going to take at least a week off though to relax, though. I’m going to make sure of it.”

“I think I can handle that,” he laughed.

Pausing just passed the bedroom door, I stopped a few feet from the bed. Jasper wrapped his arms around my waist and put his chin on my shoulder. “Welcome home,” I whispered again, scratching my nails over his jaw as I tilted my head back to give him a kiss on the cheek.

“I’ve imagined this room a million times. But wow… That’s a beautiful view.”

“It is,” I agreed. “It’s almost as beautiful as the Sydney house. We’ll get to go see that soon, though. We’ll stay there when we pack up your apartment.”

“This is so overwhelming,” he breathed into my hair. “Thank you.”

I turned in his arms. “Thank you for finally coming. Edward cried last night because he misses you so much. Everyone is going to be so much happier now. It was worth every cent. And guess what?”

“What?”

“Edward has funneled over a hundred thousand into my personal account in just under two months.”

“Are you serious?” He breathed in shock, his eyes getting wider. I nodded. “He was really counting on you not looking, or he really has no idea how much is too much.”

“What do you think it was?” I said with a laugh because I thought I knew what it was.

He scrunched up his nose. “The latter.” I nodded in agreement. Jasper sighed and rolled his eyes.

“I’m going to tell him it’s too much… soon. Not today. I’m not going to spoil tonight or probably even this week,” I promised. “So, obviously, let me know if you need some more.”

“He’s not going to take it back,” he promised, smirking.

I rubbed my face hard with my hands. “I know. Ugh. But it isn’t mine, and I don’t want it.”

“Just give it all to charity. He’s not going to stop, so you might as well just go do some good with it.” I looked up at him. Jasper was smiling at me. “Give it to your best friend. Or the bats. Or maybe to the reservation.”

I kind of laughed. “What do you mean ‘give it to the reservation’?”

“Didn’t you say that your grandfather’s office was really run down? You could fix that.”

“A hundred thousand is almost enough to build a whole building from scratch,” I mused.

He nodded. “Yeah. It is. In just a short while. Maybe wait another month or two, and you’ll have enough for the parking lot.”

“Maybe,” I awkwardly giggled. “So, what do you want to do? Are you hungry? Do you want me to make you something to eat, or do you want to take a nap? I know that you must be tired.”

“I am tired,” he admitted, pulling me closer so that our stomachs were touching. “I’m not hungry. I think that I’d like to shower first before I lay down, though. I feel gross from being on that plane for so long.”

“Why don’t you go get your suitcases, and I’ll start the water. May I join you?” I asked, pouting out my bottom lip just a little. Jasper smirked as he leaned forward to kiss me deeply. I grinned against his mouth, holding him to me.

“Yeah, I’d love it if you joined me.”

Our shower was sweet and innocent. I had him sit so that I could wash his hair. He was so tired. Jasper hugged his face into my bare stomach, enjoying the feeling of my fingers against his scalp.

He was just pulling on his boxers when my phone began to ring, singing Edward’s tone to me from the bedside table. I had put on a tank top and panties and was brushing my hair out. I nervously laughed, looking at my boyfriend.

“Is that him?”

“Mmhmm,” I said as I hurried to go get it. As I answered, I put it on speaker. “Hi, sweetheart.”

“Hello, lovely,” he cooed softly. “How has your experimentation gone?”

“It has been very successful, and I have a pleasant surprise for you when you get home.” Jasper smiled at my words and slowly crawled onto the bed with me.

Edward hummed into the phone. “Mmmm… what sort of surprise?”

“The best kind.”

“Oh, is it more than just baked goods?”

Giggling again, I bit my thumbnail nervously. “Way more, baby. But you’ll have to wait and see until you get home tonight. What are you doing?”

“Waiting for Sarah to finish, so we can get some more poke.”

“Seriously? Again?” I laughed.

He laughed as well. “I know. But it was so good, and I loved it. I think that could eat it every day.” He got a little more serious. “Um, anyway. Have you talked to Jasper any? He hasn’t sent me anything in a while, and I’m worried about him.”

“Oh, he’s fine. He’s just sleeping,” I promised quickly.

“Do you think that I should send him something to make him feel better?” Edward asked. I smiled at Jasper, and he was beaming, just trying not to make a noise.

“Mm,” I anxiously giggled. “You know, he might. But why don’t you wait until tonight, and we’ll pick it out together?” I offered slyly.

“Okay,” he excitedly remarked. “Yeah, that’ll be nice. We’ve picked out stuff for you. It’ll only fair, hm? We need to spoil him together.”

“Yup,” I agreed. “Exactly.”

“Hey!” I heard Sarah yell in the background. “Let’s go! I’m hungry!”

Edward laughed. “Alright. I’m going to go to lunch. I love you.” In the background, I heard Sarah yell that she loved me too. I laughed, making him chuckle. “So, yeah. I’ll talk to you later.”

“I love you both. Have a great day. Enjoy. Eat a snow cone for me.”

When I hung up the phone, Jasper and I looked at each other and began to laugh.

“Ready for a nap?” He nodded with a smile. Rolling over, I pulled the covers over both of us and spooned him. I set the alarm for a couple of hours before Edward was set to get home. Once more, he kissed my cheek, and I fell asleep quickly in his strong arms.

Episode One-hundred-thirteen: Shock

In my bank account, there was just over two hundred thousand dollars. I knew when I gave my information to Edward, it was around fifty. There was no possible way that could be right. I knew that I couldn’t have made enough from my pictures and videos. When I looked at the breakdown, it was just credit after credit from the production company that he published his work under. When I counted back to what I made from just my pictures, it was around fifteen thousand.

A dozen weird emotions swirled in me at once. Anger, frustration, and confusion being the main ones. Edward had access to my accounts for just under two months, and he had already funneled in a stupid amount, and I wasn’t sure how.

I wanted to scream at it for some reason. Instantly, I knew that was childish, and he was doing it because he loved me. I gave him the open access, as well, and I knew what kind of man he was. I shouldn’t have been surprised. At least he wasn’t stealing from me. But I didn’t deserve it, so it felt like I was just taking it from him. I was the thief.

After staring at the screen for a long time, I finally decided to put it on the back burner. One, I wasn’t going to in any way spoil Jasper’s arrival for either one of them. Also, I didn’t know enough. I needed more information. I needed a better breakdown of where the money from the production company came from.

Edward had programmed the accountant’s information into my phone for me if I ever needed it. I decided to call it quickly before I chickened out.

“Hello, Maria Lopez, CPA, speaking.”

“Hi, Mrs. Lopez. This is Isabella Swan.”

“Ah, yes! Ms. Swan. Hello. How can I help you today?” She asked right away. I bit my lip and thought about how I wanted to phrase it.

“Um, I was wondering if maybe you could help me with something. I was hoping to get a more comprehensive breakdown of where I’m getting my money from. From the production company.”

“Yes, ma’am. I can do that for you. Would you like it broke it down by video like Mr. Cullen?”

“Yes! Yes, that would be perfect. I just want to see exactly where I’m getting the cash from. It just says ‘production company,’ but if you could do it by video, that would be great.”

“I can break it down in whatever way that you need,” she assured me quickly. “I’ll have that put together and emailed to you as soon as possible. Would you like me to call you when it’s ready?”

“How long will it take?”

“Just a day. I should have it to you by tomorrow afternoon.”

“Oh, no. I’ll just keep an eye on my email, and I’ll call you if there are any problems.”

“Yes, ma’am,” she replied briskly. “Is there anything else that I can do for you today?”

I shook my head automatically. “Um, no. Thank you.”

Just as I was ending the call, Edward came into the trailer without his jacket or shirt on. He peeked his head around the corner of the entryway at me playfully. I quickly exited the bank app and picked up my tablet.

“Hey there, pretty girl. It’s lunchtime. Did you find what you needed?” He cheerfully asked.

I stood and walked to my bag, promptly shoving the electronic device into it. “Yeah.”

“Are you okay?” He questioned right away.

Not looking behind me, I started to rearrange my purse. “Yeah. Why?”

He took a step towards me. “Why are you mad right now?”

I was terrible at hiding my emotions. I decided that I needed to lie by omission and give a good excuse. Luckily, I had one. “Oh. Jasper’s boss is just the worst. He makes me want to punch someone in the fucking face.”

Edward worriedly sighed, taking a step towards me to rub my shoulders gently from behind. “What did he do?”

“He’s a pervert.”

“So I’ve heard,” he muttered, putting his hand on my stomach as he rested his chin on my shoulder. “What did he do?”

“He grabbed one of Jasper’s female coworkers, and it made her quit.”

Clicking his tongue, he shook his head a little. “I’m not surprised at all. You know, all the ladies at the station love Jasper, and he adores them. They all fawn all over him whenever they hang out after work at a pub or whatever,” he smirked. He then took out his phone and quickly typed to Jasper so that I could see. “I’m sorry that Jones is such a fucking bastard and sorry about your coworker. Text on your lunch break, and I’ll call if I can.”

Jasper instantly replied. “Okay, darling. I will. I’ll be alright soon, no worries.”

Then there was a ding on my phone. I reached back into my purse to get it. It was from Jasper. “All done quitting. Loudly. Going home to pack. I got your email already, and it looks all right. Call when you can.”

I smiled to myself. “And what did he send you?” Edward asked with a chuckle.

“Oh, I’m just bugging him about coming. I think that I might be finally getting to him,” I answered. “Isn’t Sarah coming with us?” I asked to distract him, turning to get my purse and type my message to Jasper. “Only pack clothes and special stuff. We’ll get everything else when you get here.” I swiftly put my phone in my pocket and took his hand.

Just then there was a knock at the door. She popped in. “All ready.”

“I’m starving,” Edward complained, putting his hand on the small of my back.

“Me too,” she agreed with him. When I came down the steps, she pulled me away from Edward so that we could walk arm in arm to the park with food trucks. “What are you going to get?”

“I’m not really hungry,” I admitted.

“You okay?” She pouted.

I quickly nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. “Yeah, just not in the mood for anything. Maybe I’ll get one of those smoothies,” I mused.

Later in the day, when we got back to set, Sarah had a few minutes of downtime. We found our spot again. The set they were working on was far enough away that we could have talked normally, but she still whispered to me.

“Did you and Eddie get in a fight?”

“Oh no,” I replied instantly.

“Why were you upset earlier? You were obviously miffed at him.”

I bit my lip, looking towards the set. “I gave him free rein with my bank account, and he’s stuffed it with cash. And I don’t know how to feel about it because he does it because he loves me but still, I don’t want it. And I knew that he was going to do it and it makes me mad at myself for being surprised by it. I’m not sure how pissed I am yet, though. I am getting more details first. Honestly, I’m not that mad, really. Just…” I groaned. “Pushy fucking man.”

She giggled. “Aw, yeah. Well, there are worse problems to have when it comes to money.”

“Right! I know! I even thought that, but it’s an argument we’ve had, and he knows my concerns. But he’s also not connected to reality anymore when it comes to cash. I’m not totally sure if he’s doing it on purpose.”

“So, not relationship ending. You just want to make him sleep on the couch for a day?”

“No. I want to sleep on his couch. It’s amazing,” I laughed, leaning back against the wall as I looked at her. “No,” I repeated. “I won’t take it out on him like that. We’re adults. We’ll talk about it when we have time, and I know what to fuss at him about exactly.”

Sarah smirked at me a little. “He knows that he’s in trouble, but he doesn’t know why, and it’s interesting to see him squirm.”

“He won’t see the problem when I bring it up,” I replied honestly then shrugged. “But you said,” I faked his accent, making her giggle. “I don’t totally understand myself because I just gave our friend some money without batting an eyelash. So, obviously, I’d do the same for him, but maybe not to this degree.”

“He’s an enthusiastic boy.” I nodded in agreement and rolled my eyes. Someone called ‘Ms. Jones!’ loudly. “Ugh, I guess they mean me. I smack Archie in the next scene. Want me to get him good for you?”

“Yeah, but just once,” I teased.

I walked up to watch this scene a little closer since I knew what was coming. I was standing not far from the director, Rob. He leaned over to Sarah and whispered, “he’s a big guy, he can handle it. Just surprise him a little.”

Edward was about to get slugged by our new friend, and it was going to be hilarious.

Just as they started, I felt a buzz in my pocket. I pulled it out to see a picture of Jasper sipping free champagne in the first-class area. “About to take off. See you soon, my dove. I told Tony that I was sick and just going to bed, FYI.”

“Perfect. Have a safe flight!”

When I looked up, it was just in time to see Sarah give it to him good, and poor Edward had to be totally unmoved. I saw the utter shock in his eyes as she probably surprised the hell out of him.

“Excuse me! Was that necessary?!” He shouted at her, staying in character. I had to cover my mouth to keep from laughing.

“Obviously, I thought so at the time!” She snapped back as she held her hand to her chest, pretending to be in serious pain. It was supposed to feel like she hit a brick wall.

“And cut!” Rob yelled.

Sarah instantly grabbed Edward’s face. “Oh, my god! I am so sorry! That was way harder than I meant.” She rubbed his cheek and kissed at his face like a worried Nana.

“Ow!” He began to laugh hysterically. His eyes were watering, bright red, and glossy. Leaning his forehead against her shoulder, he totally dissolved into giggles. “I knew that it was coming, and it’s still making me cry.”

She hugged his entire head. “I am so sorry!” She laughed as well.

“It was perfect! Don’t worry! We don’t have to do it again,” the director assured him.

“Good!” Edward snorted, finally straightening up. “Um, can I have a break? My ears are ringing.”

Rob laughed. “Yeah. Go ahead. I’ll text you when I need you.”

“Thanks,” he kind of whimpered. Sarah hugged him again, muttering in his chest how sorry she was. “It’s okay. It was a good scene! You’re surprisingly strong, and I’ve just realized that I’ve not gotten a proper smack in a while.”

I held my arms out to him. Sarah was smirking behind his back. I had to try not to let my amusement show too much on my face, but I failed. There was a big red handprint on his cheek. “Oh, my poor baby,” I simpered, rubbing it with my palm as I kissed the other side.

“I think that I need a lie-down,” he said in a thick accent that he obviously couldn’t control.

“Yeah. Come on,” I snickered as I pulled him along.

“You seem to be in a better mood. Did you enjoy my pain that much?”

I pursed my lips, smirking a little. “She didn’t have to go that hard. I’m sorry that she hurt you.” I giggled at his expression. “I’m sorry,” I repeated. “You’re just so funny together, and I knew that it was coming too, and it still surprised me as well. I heard the director tell her to, but I don’t think she meant to rattle your brains like that.”

“Oh goddammit,” he laughed. “I told him that I could handle whatever she threw at me. Bastard.”

I giggled again as he plopped down heavily at the table and laid his head against it. I sat across from him and stroked his hair. After a few minutes, he brought his phone out of his pocket. He pouted when he read the message from Jasper.

“What’s the matter?” I asked as I played with the curls at the back of his neck.

“He’s gone home early because he’s sick. I hope that he’s not worked himself up into a fit.”

I leaned down to kiss his temple. “He’s probably just getting a cold or something. He’ll be fine in a day or two. You know how stress can affect your health,” I offered.

Edward crossed his arms under his head and swallowed heavily. “I feel so guilty that I can’t be there to comfort him. And if he’s really getting sick, I want to be able to-” he stopped and sniffed deeply, shaking his head. “Jeez, why am I getting so emotional all of a sudden?”

“I don’t know. Why do you think you are?” I questioned gently.

“Because I miss him so much,” he sniffled again, and a tear rolled down his cheek. “If I were in Sydney today, I would have gone up to the station and punched that man for making my boyfriend feel like shit for years and then carried Jasper out over my shoulder like a caveman if I had to. But I can’t because I’m here. And he’s alone, and sick and depressed. I’m a bad friend and a worse boyfriend.”

“No!” I rushed to say. “You’re a wonderful boyfriend. You wouldn’t be so upset if you weren’t.” I leaned down to kiss the tears away. “Oh, no. Don’t do that. He doesn’t think that you’re either of those things, and neither do I. We both love you and think you’re amazing.”

He closed his eyes tightly. “I’m sorry. This is kind of out of nowhere. I’ve just been missing him all day, and now my head hurts.” I laughed just a little because I couldn’t help it. Smoothing my thumb over his cheek, I tried to calm him. “And you were mad at me, and I don’t know why.”

“I wasn’t.”

“Liar,” he whispered.

“I’m just annoyed about something, but it’s not worth starting a fight over, especially right now. I was just cranky earlier. And obviously watching Sarah give it to you for me really helped.” He snorted, smiling a bit. I leaned down and kissed his sore cheek. “I love you, my sweet man.”

“I love you, too,” he promised, pouting some, but there was a smile underneath it. “She really did hit me for you, didn’t she? Jesus.”

“Ahuh,” I laughed, kissing his cheek again. “That little girl cleaned your clock good. Do you need some aspirin?” Edward just nodded his head, pouting a bit more.

Episode One-hundred-twelve: Final

A few days passed, and I took turns filming with Seth and Tyler for their channels before they helped me once more in the kitchen. I had a lot of fun, but it wasn’t the same as all of us together.

It was the final week of shooting for Edward. I knew that he was going to miss his new friends that he made during the filming, but I had a feeling Sarah was going to be in our lives. At least for a little while. I was glad about that. I needed another female pal in LA, even if she was so young. But I enjoyed talking to her, and we had a lot in common.

I had agreed to go with Edward again to the set since I didn’t have anything else planned for the day that I couldn’t do on my tablet. All I was going to do was more food research for videos. The boys had a giant list of ideas and suggestions. I wanted to be able to post as much as possible, like them.

Edward joked that it was just so that I could have lunch with Sarah, and I denied it, of course. But it was a little true. Not entirely, but a tiny bit. He didn’t mind at all. He was just happy that I was excited.

Sarah threw herself at me as soon as she saw me outside the trailers, hugging me with a giddy little squeal. Her costume was getting more and more torn up as the movie went on, the yellow hoodie looking like it got ran through a car engine while Edward’s always remained perfect. Apparently, it was a part of the joke.

“So, what should we get today?” She wrapped her arm around mine as we walked to the set. “Food trucks again? Or should we order?”

“I wouldn’t mind some sushi,” Edward offered in the background. He was trailing behind us a couple of feet.

“Mm,” Sarah hummed as she thought about the options around us. “There’s the food truck that does sushi burritos and Poke bowls. Have you tried that?” She glanced over her shoulder at him. “It’s good,” she returned, opening the door for me to let me go inside first.

He held it open for her to go in after me. “I haven’t. That sounds good.” Edward paused. “And by the way, you totally just checked my girlfriend’s ass out. I saw that.”

“I-” she began as if she was totally offended, grabbing her shirt and making her eyes huge. “Totally did,” Sarah laughed. “Sorry, not sorry. No offense, but is it yours?” She sincerely asked as she touched my arm.

“The only cosmetic stuff that I’ve had done was to fix my face,” I explained. She leaned in a little to see if she could tell where, and I turned my chin to the side and trace the scar up to my cheek. “Car accident. And I was a kid.”

She pouted a little. “Ow. I was kind of hoping you had a good plastic surgeon. I need one.”

Giggling, we took each other’s arm again as we continued through the sound-stage. “You need a surgeon or a butt?” I quipped with a slightly wicked smirk.

“Obviously, both.”

“Honey, your ass is just fine. You have an amazing figure,” I complimented, leaning my head against her shoulder.

“Aw, thank you!” She gushed in return, tilting her head against mine. “So do you. But if I got my butt done, I would want it to look like yours.”

Edward came around us, shaking his head to himself. “Conversations you can only have in Hollywood.” We both giggled.

“I think that I want a poke bowl for lunch.” Sarah ignored him, smiling over at me. I nodded as well. “Oh, and they have Hawaiian shaved ice, too.”

They worked for about four hours solid together before Sarah got a break. Once again, we had found a comfortable spot on the yellow wooden pallets where we were out of the way and to relax in the darkness that wrapped around us.

“So, I was trying to figure out when I could find time to make the cooking videos. I have all Sunday free,” she began as she hopped up beside me. She leaned her head on my shoulder again, obviously a little tired. “I mean if you’re not doing anything for Easter. And I have some time next week.”

“Oh!” I drew out in surprise. It was a lot sooner than I thought she would be able to. “Actually, Sunday is our six-month anniversary, and I know that he wants to do something,” I explained. “He won’t tell what he wants to do, but he’s planning stuff. We like to surprise each other. It’s our thing.”

Sarah smiled, putting her hand on my arm. “Aw! That’s cute!”

I leaned in and playfully whispered, “it probably means that we’re going to have a snobby meal and sex in a new place.” She laughed loudly enough to make an assistant turn around and look at her in confusion. She snorted and covered her mouth with her hand. “It’s true.”

“It sounds like fun to me.”

Laughing, I nodded my head. “I’m sure that he’s going to get me something too, so I should probably buy him a gift. I don’t know what, though.”

“How hard is that going to be?” Sarah questioned, and I answered with the so-so gesture, wiggling my hand. “Hm… It’s not like you can get him gift certificates.”

“No,” I snorted.

She shrugged and looked over at me with a smirk. “Nude pictures?” I laughed, quickly covering my lips with my fingers as my cheeks went pink. The assistant turned around again. He apparently couldn’t tell where it was coming from.

“But I already gave that to him for Christmas,” I replied honestly. She cackled, covering her face with both of her hands before she could stop herself. We both dissolved into giggles.

My phone began to vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out to see Jasper’s picture on the screen. It was just before nine o’clock in the morning there.

“Oh! That’s the guy that…” she trailed off, her eyes getting bigger. I giggled again.

“It’s his best friend. I’m going to go outside and take this,” I explained, hopping down from the pallets.

“He’s cute,” she whispered. I nodded my head in agreement. “Gay?” I just kept nodding, smirking as I brought the phone to my ear. “Yay! Got it right!”

I rolled my eyes, sticking my tongue out a little in amusement. “Hello,” I whispered as I made my way to a side door.

“Hi,” Jasper breathed and sniffled deeply. “I don’t suppose you have a few moments, so I can vent to you? I’m sorry to keep doing this to you,” he said quickly. “I just need to get it out, and I know that Tony’s working and-”

I sighed softly. “Of course, I do.” I made my way to Edward’s trailer, opening it with the key that he slipped to me before filming. “What happened? Are you okay?”

Jasper huffed quietly and took a moment. When he started to speak, his voice was shaky. “So, you remember that lump of shit that you met at the mall? Well, he’s a fucking pig. All the goddamn time. There’s a girl who I work pretty close with that I try to shield as much as I can. But he just grabbed her ass right in front of me! She’s married and pregnant. Pregnant! He tried to get me to praise her ‘new lush arse.’ She quit on the spot, and I just lost it. I gave him a real piece of my mind. And he wrote me up,” he concluded with a broken laugh.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I demanded, instantly furious. I wanted to punch someone for him.

“No,” Jasper sighed. “I’ve not even got that long. And I’ve never been written up before. What’s the fucking point? Just to take the piss out of me. That’s why. Just make me a little more miserable.”

I sat down at the small table. “Honey, what the fuck are you doing? Why- why… why-” I stuttered in anger. “Why the hell are you taking this bullshit? Are they seriously the kind of people you really want to be loyal to?”

“No,” he mumbled softly. “It’s just a little longer. I just need the-”

“If you say money, I swear that I will smack you next time I see you.”

“Bella-”

I shook my head. “No!” I snapped. “This is ridiculous, Jasper! Do you want to work for people like this?”

He actually whimpered. Jasper had never heard me truly furious before. Neither had Edward. He obviously didn’t like it. “No. Of course not. Dove, I-”

“Are you happy?”

“You know the answer to that.”

“Yeah, I do, which is why I’m confused. You would literally rather suffer than take this lifeline that you keep being offered. Jasper, why are you killing your soul for these people? Some things are more important than money. Have enough confidence and pride in yourself to know when it’s better to walk away. You have to know that we only want your happiness. There is no honor in this.”

He clicked his tongue and could hear his tears in his voice. “I know.”

I took a deep breath. “Let me get the rest of your loans. Let me help you. We can do a payment plan if it really means that much to you. Or you can help me with videos in exchange. I don’t care. I don’t give a damn about the cost. Please? You could be here by tomorrow night. Please,” I begged as tears began to fill my own voice. “This is not worth it. Have enough dignity to walk away.”

“Yeah… Okay,” he hesitated for a second. “I can’t take this anymore,” he said in the tiniest voice. I could barely hear it. There was a moment of silence between us.

“Really?” I asked excitedly.

“Yeah. You’re right. They don’t deserve my loyalty. I can’t accept this kind of behavior for another moment. I’ve been trying so hard to prove that I’m a man by following through, but I’m just making a fool of myself.”

“No,” I swiftly argued. “You’ve just been stubborn. But you don’t have to be.”

Jasper sighed. “No. No, I don’t. So, um,” he lightened his voice a little. “I could be there by tomorrow night? Do you think so?”

I hurried to my purse to pull out my tablet, quickly typing in nonstop first-class flights from Sydney as soon as possible. I laughed when I saw it. “The next flight is at three pm, and you would arrive around noon tomorrow. Is that enough time to pack your clothes? We’ll come back to get the rest together,” I promised.

“I could be there in about twenty-four hours?” He questioned quietly.

“Yes!” I laughed happily.

“Yeah,” he laughed as well. “Yes, that’s enough time. Get that ticket, dove.”

My fingers were shaking as I pulled out my debit card and bought the most expensive plane ticket that I ever had before. It was worth it, and I knew, without a doubt, the money was there. My heart was pounding in my chest wildly. “There! I bought it! I just sent it to your email. Now, go tell those motherfuckers bye so you can get ready!”

Jasper laughed again. “Oh, my god! I can’t believe that I'm doing this. I can’t wait to tell Tony.”

A wicked idea popped into my head. “Want to surprise him? You know that he loves them.”

“Sure,” he chuckled. We were both giddy. “Wow. Yeah. Let’s surprise him.” He blew a long breath. “Alright. Time to tell that son of a bitch that I fucking quit.”

“Yes!” I exclaimed jubilantly. “Call me when you get home! I want to make sure that you got the tickets, and everything is right.”

“Okay. Shit,” he mumbled lightheartedly before laughing nervously. “See you soon, dove.”

“See you soon.”

I put the phone down on the table and put both of my hands over my face. I felt so overwhelmingly happy and relieved. Tears stung my eyes, and I leaned my head back to keep them in. Laughing, I took a deep breath as I tried to figure out how I was going to hide this from Edward.

As if he knew I was thinking his name, he texted me. “Where did you wander off to?”

I licked my lips and tried to think of how to answer. It was best not to lie. Yet. “Jasper called, and I didn’t want to bother anyone.”

“Everything okay?”

“Yes!” I promised quickly. I looked down at my tablet. The app was up for my recipes after I closed the Expedia one. “He was on a smoke break and wanted to chat. Then I just had a recipe thought and was looking it up before I returned to the set. I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Oh, what kind of thought?” He curiously asked. He must have had a moment of quiet.

“Desserts,” I commented vaguely.

He sent three emojis with heart eyes. “Ah, one of my favorite subjects to entertain. What kind?”

I realized that I knew exactly what kind of dessert recipes that I needed to look up, but I wasn’t going to tell him about it. I had promised Jasper that I would make him macaroons when he visited. “I’m just looking up where to get some nicer ingredients for something that I want to practice tomorrow for a video. Fresh farm eggs, Madagascar vanilla, almond flour. Those sorts of things,” I explained. None of it would be a lie. I would look at that information up and go get them before he arrived to make those for him. “To practice for Sarah’s video.” That was a lie.

“That’s going to be so much fun to film,” he replied quickly. “Acting again. This is the last scene before lunch.”

“Okay.”

I took a moment to calm myself down, trying to think of all the things that I needed to do. I started making a list: Get stuff for dinner and dessert the following day. Put fresh sheets on the bed and make sure the drawer of fun was ready. Pick up condoms. And send Jasper the money for the loans.

I decided to do that first. It was quick and easy, and he might have needed some money for traveling. I wasn’t exactly sure how much he required, but I was going to give him four thousand to start. That was probably more than adequate, and if not, I could give him more.

For the first time ever, I brought up the new bank app for my tablet. I hadn’t looked since Edward and I started sharing an accountant while we were still in Sydney. I had spent very little, and I knew that my shop was doing well enough to cover any of my bills. It was just extra stress that I didn’t want to deal with for a little while.

When I saw the amount in my account, I loudly gasped.

Episode One-hundred-eleven: Kinky Sundae

Warning: this episode contains graphic sexual descriptions. Reader discretion is advised. Intended for a mature audience only. (18+)

I woke up surprisingly alone the following day. There was an outfit waiting for me at the end of the bed. It was a completely see-through mesh set. It was lavender with little hearts, and it left nothing to the imagination. There was one of my lipsticks that matched on top. I quickly changed and put it on before wandering into the living room.

Edward was sitting on the couch, working on his computer while he smoked and sipped coffee. He instantly perked up when he saw me. “Oh, my. That is very nice. Turn around.” Slowly, I spun around on my heels. “Stop.” He examined my ass. “Damn.”

“So, are there any rules I need to follow, sir?” I playfully questioned as I looked at him over my shoulder. I wiggled my ass at him.

“I want you to keep calling me, 'sir.' I like it. It turns me on.”

“Yes, sir,” I smirked a little as I turned once again to look at him. “Anything else?”

“Mmm… not that I can think of. Just be a good girl, and do what I tell you to?” He smirked as well, but his cheeks were a little pink. He winked, making me giggle. “Breakfast is already on the table.”

He crawled off the couch and came towards me. “I thought that I was supposed to be taking care of you today, sir,” I said cheekily. He took my hands and pulled me towards him before wrapping them around his neck, making me giggle once more as his fingers went to my butt.

“Oh, I plan on taking care of you all day, actually,” he explained with his lips on my ear. “Ah, I do know a rule. You will sit on my lap whenever you can.”

First, Edward sat at the table and brought me into his lap. In front of us, there was coffee, croissants that I think that he had delivered, along with some cut-up fruit. Carefully, he brought a piece of melon to my lips.

“After breakfast, I’m going to take pictures of you in this outside, and then I’m going to have you model a couple of different things for me. Then I want to take a shower with you.”

“Yes, sir,” I replied as I kissed his cheek. He smiled, leaning into my lips.

“I loved everything that you picked out,” he praised my clothing choices. “You did so much better with your shopping than I expected you to,” my boyfriend admitted. “I figured you wouldn’t go as crazy as I actually wanted you to.”

I shrugged a little. “Well, sir,” I kept saying it purposefully, “I found a couple of cheaper places that I liked. Like this one was around six dollars, which is why I got one almost exactly like it but in red. With the different top,” I explained, playing with the collar of his t-shirt. “I kind of went nuts. Just for you. I still didn’t spend that much, though.”

Edward grinned. “We’re going back to the cheap store and getting you more. I could easily rip this off of you.” As if to make a point, he dragged his fingers over the back of my panties.

“I hope so.”

After breakfast, he led me outside. My camera bag was on the island in the kitchen, waiting to be used. He grabbed the lens that he wanted and had me sit on the chaise on my knees.

The clouds were beautiful outside. He had me pose in several ways before changing the lens. He had been practicing and wanted to experiment more. After a time, he pulled some joints and a lighter out of his pocket before handing it to me. “I’m going to be back in a few minutes. Relax for a little while. Would you like some more coffee?”

“Yes, sir,” I answered with a smile. He swiftly came in for a sweet kiss. After a quick trip to the table, he returned with a fresh mug made just the way that I liked.

I sat back on the chaise with my coffee and smoke, relaxing in the sunshine. My bare toes enjoyed the light breeze. There were light gusts, making my hair blow around me. Edward didn’t return until about fifteen minutes later. He quickly took pictures of me as I lounged.

“I have what I want you to wear next out on the bed.”

It was a long-sleeved black bodysuit style teddy. The back was very low cut, but the front had a halter top. It didn’t show anything off, even if the soft cotton was form-fitting. It was actually quite comfortable, and I might wear it later with blue jeans. To go with it, he had picked my pearl necklace, knee-high black socks, and a pair of silver-framed heart-shaped sunglasses that I got for Sydney. He had also selected a black lipstick to go with it.

“You’re into goth chicks, aren’t you?” I teased when I came back out. He chuckled a little and swatted my ass.

“Yeah, a little,” he admitted. “You look incredible, though. Go sit on the wall.”

He spent an hour having me pose in a hundred different ways around the backyard. He easily took two thousand pictures. The wind was getting stronger, pushing my hair everywhere. It was making for amazing photos. Then, suddenly, a downpour came out of nowhere.

Edward was thankfully fast, ducking under the cover that shielded part of his patio from the sun. My camera didn’t get wet. But I did. We both laughed, hurrying under the awning.

“You know what? Go out into the rain,” he told me, nearly having to shout to be heard over the torrent.

There was no lightning, so I pranced out into it. “Oh, it’s so warm!” I giggled, holding my arms out above my head. Edward continued to take pictures under the protection. I pushed my hair out of my eyes, it was already soaked. Awkwardly, I pulled off my moist socks and threw them at him. Then he had me play with the necklace between my teeth, holding his gaze. It was apparent by his expression that he liked it.

After a few minutes and probably hundreds of pictures, he rushed inside to put my camera onto the table. Before he came out into the rain with me, he took off his shirt and threw it into the living room floor. Edward brought me into his arms, kissing me deeply when he caught up. He picked me up, my legs wrapping around his waist automatically.

He took me to the loveseat, the rain coming down slower, more gently. “Take it off,” he instructed. I didn’t even have to rearrange my position straddling his waist. In one single move, I was nude and soaking wet. Edward hurried to remove himself from his jeans. I called out softly as soon as he pressed inside of me.

“Fuck,” he whispered. His strong hands went to my hips, moving me exactly how he wanted. Droplets of water were running down his chest, his hair was slicked back away from his forehead. “I can’t wait to put some of those pictures up and show you off. I’m going to show everyone how sexy you are.”

Slipping his hand between us, he let the rhythm of our movements bring me over the edge on his fingers. Mine were in my hair, moaning loudly as I barely kept myself up. I felt as if my spine was just going to melt away. His other hand went to the back of my neck, holding me in place while he finished.

The rain slowed until it was coming down in big fat lazy drops. The sun was starting to shine again, warming the air as it broke through the gray clouds.

“Wow. I think you just checked something off a bucket list that I didn’t know that I had, sir,” I mumbled into his ear. He chuckled before kissing my collarbone. I let my lips move over his temple. “That was like a fantasy.” He nodded in agreement.

“Ready for that shower now?” He questioned when he pulled back to look into my eyes. I smiled and swiftly agreed.

After, he picked out another ‘outfit’ for me to wear. This one was far more risqué than the black bodysuit. It was yellow satin crotchless panties and just some of my gold lipstick. And that was it.

“Straighten your hair,” he instructed me. “I’m going to get some things ready in the kitchen. Oh, and don’t put on any lotion or perfume, please.”

“Yes, sir,” I smiled, picking up the panties. “Anything else?”

“Nope,” he grinned. He was only in his boxer briefs. Quickly, he padded away to go do whatever he needed to.

When I came out, the table had been cleared, and on the island, I could also see several bottles lined up. When I went into the room, Edward stopped what he was doing and stared. He put his hand on the tabletop and leaned into it for a moment.

“Do you like it, sir?”

“I can’t believe that you’re mine. You are so stunning. I cannot wait to lick caramel off of you.”

Laughing, I looked away from him for a moment. It was hard not to bite my lip and mess up my makeup. “Am I about to become a sundae?”

“Yes, you are. Go lay down on the table,” he requested cheerfully. I laughed again at his happy attitude.

The table didn’t move when I hopped onto the edge. I sat on it, watching him getting ready. The bottles were in glasses of warm water to heat them up. There were also two kinds of whipped cream. One was white chocolate, and the other was extra creamy.

He picked up the camera and took my picture, sitting as I was. “Bring your hair over your shoulder. Perfect,” he purred the word as I did as I was told. “Lay back.”

We had another modeling session with me posing in different ways on the table. Finally, he had me lay completely flat. He put the camera down and picked up a bottle from the warm water. It was a light tan color. First, he tested it on his finger to make sure it wasn’t too hot. He kissed my belly button before drawing a swirl in caramel around it.

“Oh, my god,” I giggled at the sensation. It made things tingle, and my nipples immediately reacted.

Then he started to decorate my body with the sticky stuff. He didn’t begin to lick it off. Instead, he went to go get the chocolate syrup next. He made sure to get my breasts, dotting and circling my nipple. Finally, he got the creamy white whipped cream. The cold was wildly different compared to the hot syrup. I whimpered, my legs pushing together.

“Stay still, love. I want to take a few pictures before I lick it all off,” he said in a husky voice.

He was quick to start taking photos. But after a few moments, his phone made a noise.

“Oh, perfect,” he mumbled to himself. “Hello, love,” Edward spoke brightly into his cell phone. “Are you alone?”

“Yeah, I popped home for tea,” he answered over the speaker. Edward promptly turned on Facetime, turning it towards me. “Holy fucking…” He drew out quietly, his eyes wide. “Yum.” Then his cheeks turned a little red. “Oh, you bastard.”

“We even talked about it yesterday,” I began to laugh. “You know better.”

“Oh, god. It might be worth it to see you like that. Fuck me. I want to lick every inch of you,” he whimpered. “Tony!” He yelled, wanting to face him again. Edward did with an evil smirk. “Why are you doing this to me?”

“Don’t you want to see your girlfriend dressed up like pudding?” He sensually asked. “Do you want to watch me lick it off?”

“Yes,” he moaned.

“Then go get your computer,” Edward replied. I realized that his laptop was already on the island, as well. He had arranged the timing on purpose. “So, where should I lick first?” He questioned as he started up skype.

Jasper hummed for a moment. “I want you to know that one day, I am going to find a way to punish you for this.”

He set up the laptop on a stool with a perfect view of my sticky body. The whipped cream was starting to melt and drip down my sides. It looked extremely suggestive.

“Well, come and spank me then.”

Jasper groaned when I came into view on the screen. I smiled and wiggled my fingers at him. “You literally walked into it today.”

“I know,” he responded.

I moved my fingertip over one of the mounds of cream and sucked it off. He moaned again, sitting back in the shot. He was in the living room on his couch.

“Please don’t make me too late,” he begged. Edward laughed evilly. “Tony, you wicked-” he stopped. “Oh, god. The way it’s just dripping down her tits made my mouth water. You are so sexy, dove.”

“I think that he might have overdone it. I wish you could come and help him. I’d call you 'sir,' too.”

Jasper unzipped his trousers. “Start at the bottom and work your way to the top,” he ordered.

He was an hour late to work, not that he really cared. It was worth it.

After, Edward carried me to the bathroom. We rinsed off in the shower, getting all the sticky off of both of us. It was relaxing. This time, he helped rubbed me down with lotion.

It was getting later on in the evening, and he looked me over for a long moment as if he was deciding something. His eyes went over me slowly. “Go put on one of the nightgowns on now. Whatever you feel most comfortable in.”

“Yes, sir,” I smirked a little.

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth before I added some lightly tinted flavored chapstick. When I had finished, he was sitting outside, sipping a glass of wine. He had the bottle and an empty glass if I wanted one. Edward grinned to himself when he saw me, patting his lap.

“So, what kinky things are we doing now?” I asked in a flirty voice as I plopped down on him. Drawing my legs up, I wrapped my arms around his neck.

“We can do whatever I like?”

“Yes. Isn’t that what we’ve been doing all day?” I inquired with a laugh.

“Even if it’s not kinky.”

“Even if it’s not kinky,” I repeated with a roll of my eyes.

“I want to talk about your writing now.” I turned to look at him in surprise. “You said whatever I like. This is what I’d like to do.”

“It’s a good thing that you didn’t start the day off with this,” I murmured as I tried to stand, but he kept me in place, plunking me back down.

“Nope. You’re staying right here.”

I looked away, pouting a little, and sighed as I rolled my eyes again. “What is there to talk about?”

“Seriously? They’re awesome! All of them. I’ve read them all and-”

“All of them?” I blurted out in shock. “How fast of a reader are you?”

It was his turn to rolled his eyes. “They are just… seriously. I cried so hard at work that Tasha had to fix my makeup. Nothing that I’ve read in years has made me weep like that. I realize that I’m a bit of a bitch, but-” Edward paused. “Love, if any of them were scripts, I would want to be in them. Maybe one day, I can make them into movies and-”

“Stop,” I laughed. “No.”

“Why not? Don’t you like your own stories? I see so much of you in them. I see your wit and humor. And I can’t believe that you did these when you were so young.”

“I was your age.”

“Not to sound cocky, but love, I know that I am more the exception to the rule. I think that if you had found a single art form and followed through-”

I laughed bitterly, trying to get up again, as I started to get actually angry. “I did! Edward, I did pick one. I chose photography. I realize that I’m not as successful as you-”

“It’s not about that.”

“I could never be an actress or a screenwriter or-”

“You were amazing the other day. And it was so much fun to act with you! We could do that together. We could be in the movies that we adapt together from your works. And mine. I know that you don’t know how to write scripts, but I do. And I’m fucking good at it. God, with some of them, I can see the scenes in my mind like a film already. They are so damn good, and I loved reading all of them.”

I couldn’t look at him, my cheeks were red-hot. “I don’t know if I can believe you.”

“Why?” He tried to turn my face towards him. I couldn’t move. “Look at me.”

Turning to face him again, shaking my head. “Please don’t add any more work to your plate right now because of me. We already have so many things in the air. Can’t we just work on this one thing for a bit first?”

He quickly nodded. “Of course. Not right now, but in the future. That is how you get places here, though. Thinking ahead. Not just to the next project but the one after and the one after that.”

“Yes, but you have like fifty projects lined up right now. And we’re going to go through the sponsorship deals soon. That’s more work. More time.”

He sighed, closing his eyes. “I know. But, like the sponsors, that is the stuff that we’ll be able to do together.”

“I don’t know if I could do this with you.”

“Why?”

I didn’t have a good answer that made sense. Looking down at my lap, I fidgeted with the hem of the nightgown. “I realize that you think the world of me, and I love it. It makes me feel so good, but I also can’t trust it. When you compliment me about these things, I’m not sure if you’re just telling me because you think that it’ll make me happy-”

“Yeah, because you’re really fucking thrilled right now,” Edward responded as he rolled his eyes once more. Someone’s eyes were going to get stuck in that position if we didn’t stop. He took a big gulp of his wine, shaking his head. “If I never brought it up again, it would make you happier. But it’s everything you do. You don’t like it when I compliment anything.”

“No.”

“Tell me one thing that you believe me about when I praise you,” he demanded. “Just one.”

“My food. My looks. My organizational skills,” I swiftly stated, my expression sour.

“Then why can’t you believe me? How is it different? Shouldn’t my opinion in this field matter even more since, you know, it’s what I do?”

I scratched the back of my neck. “You want to play with me all day, but I’m passable as an extra, and writing was only my hobby. I chose my art, and I love my pictures. And I adore making videos with you because I don’t have to pretend to be something that I’m not, and I get to do things that I enjoy with the man that I love. But I can’t live up to these expectations!”

“Honey, these are not some far-out wild aspirations that I have. I’m saying that I see the work that is in front of me, and there are at least a half dozen scripts for movies. You’ve already lived up to them and far exceeded them. These are films that I would want to act in. I would kill to be Remy,” he mentioned a specific main character that I wrote a couple of stories about. “If I hadn’t known that you wrote it, I would have assumed that it was written by a man. You capture some aspects of masculinity that are honestly really hard to put into words. Jasper likes them too, but he knows better than to bring it up to you.”

“Why are you acting like I’m just terrible about this all the time? You know, I wouldn’t mind talking about it, if we could just talk about the stories. But I don’t want to turn them into work. You do. Not everyone’s hobbies have to be more than that.”

“Okay. I get it. I get it,” he repeated. “I’m sorry. I don’t know how to not be like this. It’s just how my mind is. Would you be mad if I wrote one of them into a script?” He questioned.

I shrugged. “I can’t stop you.”

“Um, yes, you can. It’s your work. If you don’t want me to use your now copyrighted work-”

“You had it copyrighted?”

“Yup, sure did. Zafrina did it for you. Don’t worry, she didn’t read anything. So, if you don’t want me to, I can’t. I literally need your permission. I could put it in writing and give it to our manager if you like.”

“Edward,” I laughed out his name before sighing. I finally shook my head and shrugged. “You’re going to write it whether I say yes or no, and you’ll work on me until I give you the answer that you want. So, write it if you want. I can’t stop you.” He frowned at my answer. “What? I’m sorry. Are you not getting your way the way that you wanted it?”

He groaned, shaking his head. “I don’t know what to do. You look like you’re literally ready to fight me. Like uppercut to the nose, rumble. Because I think that you’re a talented writer, and I want to work with you.”

“I’d never hit you.”

“You’ve totally popped me before when you were annoyed,” he chuckled. “Remember?”

“I’d never hit you in the face. Though, I might be the one to spank you.” He wiggled his eyebrows at me playfully, making me quietly giggle. “So, are you already finished writing it?”

“No,” he laughed softly. “Just in my head. I’ve got a little done. I’ve not gotten a lot of time to work on it, and you know how I like to write.” His hand trailed up and down my back. “I want to be Remy,” he repeated.

“Remy is everything that I wanted to be,” I said in a whisper.

“I know. It’s everything that you think you’re not but are. Strong, smart, brave. By the way, if you pick up women half as well as he does in the story.” I laughed and looked away from him. “I wish I were as charming.”

“Mm, you’re far more so, especially since you’re real.” I played with his hair.

“I can make him real for you. We can make this a movie together.”

I pushed my lips together. “I will support you in whatever you decide to do. But what if something of mine is your first major flop? How would you feel?”

He thought about it for a moment. “Let me write it and maybe shop it around. I can get other people’s opinions. I don’t think it could be a flop. But I think that I’d want to do something indie anyway. Low budget, focused on the actors. Let the words speak for themselves. There are several lines that I just love that are perfect for a trailer.”

Once again, I shook my head. “Okay. I’d like to point out that you’ve only sold one script so far, and that was for an animated kids' movie. This is totally different. I have faith in you, I do, but-”

“I hate how I’ve made you feel just bringing this up,” he mumbled, frowning as he played with the edges of my nightgown. “I wish you believed me when I say that I love them.”

“I do believe you, but I don’t think that means that they’re good just because you do. You are biased because you’re in love with me.”

He growled softly, pressing a kiss to my neck. “You are so frustrating and complicated, sometimes.”

“You knew that when we started dating.” He nodded his head. “Am I worth it?” I questioned softly.

His arms tightened me. “Oh, love. Of course, you are. You’re not even that bad… you just lack self-esteem. We’ll work on it.” I scoffed a little. “You’ll see. By this time next year, there will be a world of difference. Jasper and I will help you. We’ll show you how talented you are, and we’ll make sure that you feel safe so that you can work on all of your art in any way that you wish.”

I nodded a little. “You’d be a perfect Remy if you had dark hair. You’d be very handsome with black hair,” I mused, biting my lip for a moment. “Too bad that your southern accent is so terrible.”

His face scrunched up in amusement before he began to tickle my sides, making me squeal and laugh for real.

Episode One-hundred-ten: Pause

I woke up around the same time that Edward did to get ready for my day out. Sleepily, I made him coffee while he showered after his quick workout. In a big Tupperware, I made him enough food to share with everyone that I knew would be in that trailer as soon as he arrived. People gravitated towards him naturally like a moth to a lamp. He was always the brightest in the room.

He took my offering with a smile, gripping it with both of his big hands. The container looked so much small in them. “What’s this?”

“Fresh bagels with homemade cream cheese. I was trying the cheese recipe for the first time,” I explained. “It’s really good. And… umm…” I thought about it tiredly, trying to work through my haze. My coffee hadn’t fully kicked in yet. “Blueberry and some raspberry jam. Bacon, sausage. And some fruit.”

Edward took me by the waist, holding the container in the other hand, and pulled me to him for a great big kiss. He smiled against my lips, his palm sliding up my back as he pressed me to his chest. “When did you have time to make all this?”

I laughed a little at his reaction. Whenever he was like this, it just made me want to cook him something else. “I made it the other day for the videos with the boys. Except for the meat. The bacon and sausage didn’t take that long,” I smirked a little. “There are bagels in the freezer for whenever you want more, by the way. I’ve got it just stuffed so full of food right now. If we keep doing cooking videos the way we are, we’re going to need a bigger fridge and a stand-alone freezer.” I took a sip of my coffee. “And to up our workout routine,” I mumbled jokingly into the cup.

“Oh,” he said, taking my jesting seriously. “That is a good idea. There is room in the garage for both of those, probably. Why don’t you get them today as well?” He pulled out his personal credit card from his wallet and held it up to me with his two fingers. “If you have time. Use this for your personal shopping today.”

I took it from his hand slowly, rolling my eyes at him as I shook my head. “One does not simply just go out and buy new large appliances, Edward. I’ll do some research on what would be best for us first.”

His driver texted that she had arrived and was waiting for him whenever Edward was ready, his phone dinging loudly in his pocket. Once again, he pulled me close and kissed my mouth lightly. “Yeah, probably a good idea. Have a good day. And shop like me!” He reminded me firmly, waggling his finger in my direction.

“Yes, sir,” I purred just as he was heading out the opened door. I saw him turn around for a second and pout. “See you this evening. I love you.” I wiggled my fingers teasingly at him, smirking as I raised my eyebrows a little.

Edward’s smile went to one side. “I love you, too.”

I finished my coffee with a grin. After working out and showering myself, I decided to go ahead and start shopping. I really had no idea how long it was going to take.

If Edward wanted a variety, he was going to get it. As cheaply as possible. Vinyl, satin, silk, lace, and cotton. Bodysuits, corsets, panties, bras, teddies, and anything else slutty that I could find at the five different stores that I visited. I ended up having dozens of sacks. They were also filled with lipsticks in shades that I didn’t have, lots of cheap jewelry, and the closest thing that I had ever gotten to stripper heels before. He was going to be pleased.

It was just after two in the afternoon when my phone rang. I had returned home to drop off my new clothing before going to the grocery store. I wanted to start my new stuff in the washing machine before I did. Or what could be, anyway. I was on a search for the scissors to cut off tags when I heard it mumbling under something. Jasper’s sweet ringtone sang to me under a sea of plastic and thick paper. It was his day off, but I knew that it was early in the day for him. Tossing a couple of bags, I finally found it under my purse.

“Hi, handsome,” I began right away lightly, kind of panting and smiling to myself.

“Hello, dove,” he replied tiredly. It instantly faded.

“What are you doing awake?” I asked gently. “You need to take it easy today.”

Jasper hummed for a moment. “I couldn’t sleep. My brain hates me.”

Making a noise of understanding, I sat on the edge of the bed as I did. “I know how you feel. My brain hates me, too. But I went to my new therapist yesterday, and I think that I like him,” I commented as I tried to lighten my voice again. “What’s going on in your head?”

“Oh,” he said softly. Jasper gave an awkward laugh and sighed. “It’s stupid. I just had a nightmare, and I can’t get it to stop replaying in my head. I was hoping that your lovely voice could drown it out.”

Kicking off my shoes, I got more comfortable. “Aw. I’m sorry. What was your nightmare about?”

“Doesn’t matter,” he replied almost before I finished asking the question.

“Tell me about it, and we can pick it apart. Make it less scary,” I offered. “Usually, when you shine a light on these things, it helps your brain to realize that it’s not a possibility, and it moves on.”

He laughed again, almost brokenly. “Oh, sweet girl. Here’s the thing, it’s a strong possibility and most likely what is going to be my reality.”

“What do you mean?”

“Doesn’t matter,” he repeated quickly in a sigh.

My chest burned, my shoulders feeling as if they were being pulled to the floor with their heaviness. “No. Tell me. I don’t like that. Don’t- Don’t hide things that obviously upset you. I want to help. Please?” I pleaded softly. “It’s just a dream. Tell me about it.”

Jasper huffed loudly when he realized that I wasn’t going to give up. “I dreamt that we got in a fight, the three of us. And it was so bad. Lots of screaming and crying. And I was the problem. No matter what I did or said. We broke up, loudly and dramatically. With me begging…” He paused. “Then Tony kicked me out. He told me that he never wanted to see me again. That he wouldn’t even think about me. Not even in memories.” He struggled to get the words out. “And you chose him, as you should-”

“It’s not going to be like that,” I promised, interrupting him immediately. My fingers tightened in a fist on my knee. “Have enough faith in us that even if we don’t make it as a romantic partnership, we will always be your friend. Edward would never cut you out of his life for any reason. There is nothing you could do-”

“He needs to think about his career. He needs to think about his future with you.”

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. “He has! He constantly does! So do I! This isn’t going to change either of those things negatively.”

“That’s not true.”

I flopped back onto the bed. Several of the bags fell around me. “Jasper! Please! We need you here.” He huffed again loudly because he didn’t believe me. “To help me. I need you to help me. Let’s be real, he doesn’t need us. But I’m going to be selfish for a moment. I need you for my career. We’re starting the network soon. Edward, Tyler, and Seth are not going to have time to keep up with their things and help me, too. I’m so far behind their skill set. I can’t do it by myself. And I know that I can’t keep up. I can’t do the cameras or editing. But I need to show our boyfriend what I can do. And I need to show myself, but I know that he didn’t start alone. He had you. And now I need you,” I confessed.

“I promise that I will help all that I can when I get there,” he swore instantly, his rich voice getting deeper. “I still want to come. With all of my heart, dove. Really I do. I’m sorry. I’m just so scared of screwing this up with you. And him. I don’t want to end up alone again, but this time in a foreign country.”

Painfully, my breath caught in my throat. “I would never let that happen to you. I will always be your friend, no matter what transpires between us, because I care and respect you too much not to have you in my life in some way. And if it doesn’t work out, I will still need your friendship. I would never let you feel alone, and neither would Edward.” I unexpectedly began to cry. The emotions were suddenly so overwhelming, bubbling to the surface. The fat tears rolled down my cheeks, running down my nose. “I promise that I will try my best to never do anything that would.”

“Oh, Bella,” he squeaked out, and I could hear the bed shift around him. “I know, baby girl. I know. I’m not worried about you at all. Honestly, I’m worried about screwing it up. Your lives are perfect right now.”

“No, they’re not,” I sobbed. “You’re not here.”

Jasper sighed deeply. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to make you cry. Bella… dove. Dammit.”

“I’m crying because I miss you, you idiot.”

And then he began to cry, too. “I know. I do, too.” There was a pause where I could hear his tears and sniffles. In the smallest voice, he asked, “do you really need me?”

“Yes!” I all but shouted. “He doesn’t need us. I know that. He would be successful no matter what, he’s proven that, but he needs us to make him happy. But I do! Please believe me.”

He took a long shaky breath. “I do. You know what?” Jasper swallowed. “I can help you with your career. If Tony is going to drag us into it, we’ll do it together so that we don’t drown. I think that he forgets that you don’t know everything that he does. And I know that you’re going to be something, just like him.”

“Something? A train-wreck, maybe. I’m too old to be starting this shit now.”

“No. Not even close. You know, I was reading about Julia Childs. She didn’t start her cooking career well into her forties.”

I laughed a little, shaking my head as I pushed my hair out of my eyes. “I’m not Julia Childs.”

“No, you’re Bella Swan. And they’re going to mention your name in the same breath.”

“Oh…” I said softly. “This is where Eddie came from.” He laughed just a little but didn’t say anything. “I just wanted to make fun videos with my boyfriend. I didn’t know that it would turn into this.”

“Are you having fun?” He asked. “Even if it’s not exactly what you thought it would be?”

“Yes.”

“Ah, well then. That’s all that fucking matters. I’ll teach you a thing or two. We’ll make those videos together. We will see where this goes together. And I’ll finally hire people to help us.”

I smiled, biting my bottom lip. “Okay, good. Sounds perfect. But there is something that I need you to know.”

“What’s that?”

“Someone with a soul as good as yours could never ruin anything.”

Jasper chuckled a little and sighed. “You make me feel so good about myself. It’s so nice. See, this is why I called!”

“Even if you didn’t want to tell me why.” I wiped a stray tear away.

“I didn’t want to tell you because I knew that you wouldn’t like it. I knew that it would upset you.”

“You have to know that Edward loves you more than that. Look… I dated my best friend, and we broke up. We still lived together afterward. And she will always be my best friend. I still love her and would kill for her. And we did it as a teenager. We are all adults. It’s got to be easier, right?”

He snorted. “No.”

“Shut up and let me pretend it will be for a little while.”

“Okay,” Jasper chuckled a bit at my sassy attitude. “Anyway, what are you doing today?”

“Um,” I drew out a little awkwardly. “So, it was my turn to plan a date night, and he wanted to do it at home. And I asked him if he’d like to… um, dominate me. All-day long. And he requested that I shop like him while getting lingerie for the day. I just finished that. The bed is a sea of slutty sleepwear.”

There were several clicks of silence. “Oh, goddammit.”

I laughed. “What?”

“Are you serious?” He softly whimpered. I laughed again. “So, what you’re telling me is to not open anything he sends me at work for the next week?”

Giggling, I ran my hand over my cheek. All my tears were forgotten. “Mm, yeah. You probably shouldn’t ever. He has a thing now. Oh... Having fun with our porn, by the way?”

Jasper scoffed. “I have watched it all many times. Every angle.”

“You told him that you like ‘amateur’ stuff,” I teased.

“I know,” he whined then laughed. “I’m having fun with my own edits that I plan to send him. Hopefully, I’ll have a little payback today.”

“Honey, he loves it. It doesn’t work like that.” He snorted at my words, making me giggle. There was a lull, and I sighed, biting my lip for a moment as I thought about his fears and my own. Drowning was an apt way of describing them. I felt as if I was choking on my own. “I’m sorry that you had that nightmare, but I want you to know that it’s all that it was. That won’t be our reality. I don’t know what it will be yet, but we’ll shape it.”

“Yes,” he agreed. “We will. Together.”
